Flashy Blue Moonstone Sterling Silver Ring

$85.00

This flashy ring features a white faceted moonstone that flashes blue as you move it through the light. To help protect the stone, it is bezel set which fully surrounds the stone with silver. This ring is currently a size 9.25 and can be resized.

Moonstone, a captivating gem known for its ethereal play of light, has been admired for centuries and is steeped in both cultural significance and mystique. Revered in ancient civilizations such as the Romans and Hindus, moonstone was believed to be a symbol of the moon, embodying feminine energy and even thought to bring good fortune. Its signature optical phenomenon, called adularescence, causes the stone to shimmer with a soft, milky glow as light interacts with its surface. Moonstone comes in various colors, including white, blue, peach, and gray, with the blue variety being the most highly prized. In jewelry, moonstone is often used in rings, earrings, necklaces, and pendants, especially in bohemian and vintage styles, thanks to its mystical appeal. Despite its beauty, moonstone is relatively soft (6-6.5 on the Mohs scale) and requires careful care. To protect it from scratching or chipping, avoid exposing moonstone jewelry to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or excessive wear. Clean it with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, and store it separately from harder gemstones to prevent damage. Regularly check settings to ensure the stone remains secure, as moonstone can be more prone to breakage than harder gemstones.

Jewelry and gemstones do not always look like what’s on your screen. Different screen resolutions and pixelization may skew the colors of certain stones and metals. This is especially true for stones like opals, fire agate, and labradorite. Although we make the best attempt to show off the product exactly as it is in person, technology doesn’t always allow this. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out and we will do our best to help.
